Statewide CTE Professional Development Program

Minnesota CTE leadership is beginning a statewide professional development program for new or recently new career and technical education (CTE) teachers.

Working with leaders from MnACTE and its affiliate organizations, state MDE/Minnesota State leaders will provide assistance to these new professionals.  Modeled after the ACTE Leadership Training Program, this initiative will focus on critical information as well as strategies for successful implementation for new teachers during the remainder of the 2016-17 year.

 

A calendar of events have been planned including webinars and face-to-face meetings across the state.  (See the attached document for this calendar.)


Two upcoming events are scheduled as follows:

1)  “Welcome to CTE” Webinar – Thursday, January 12, 20174:00 – 5:00 p.m.
This webinar is open to all new (or recently new) CTE teachers and faculty.  It will give participants an overview of career & technical education (CTE) in Minnesota.  It will be recorded for those that are not able to join at that specific time.

  • Quick History of CTE – Past & Evolution Including Carl Perkins
